Prior to being licensed in Real Estate Sales in 1979, Steve spent five years in the construction industry, managing the construction of both single family homes and apartment buildings in Ontario and Alberta.
In 1982 Steve was awarded the highly regarded CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member) a comprehensive commercial / investment real estate education and certification. In 1983 Steve Kewin & associates inc. was incorporated – over THIRTY FIVE years helping our buy / sell clients achieve their objectives.

Elyse Kewin-Rose brings a diverse range of assets to the Steve Kewin & associates team. Among them, the remarkable ability to build strong relationships and ultimately deliver on clients’ needs.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Management and Organizational Studies from Western University in 2008, and prior to joining Steve Kewin & associates inc. in 2018, Elyse spent just over a decade in B2B sales in the commercial insurance space, managing multinational accounts while delivering high-touch service. Keeping her clients’ priorities front of mind has always been Elyse’s primary concern, and that’s evident in the significant, loyal customer base she amassed during her insurance career.
Now, at Steve Kewin & associates inc., Elyse utilizes her selling and relationship management expertise to assist Steve Kewin, President and Broker of Record, CCIM, in his investment property sales, as well as her own investment property sales.
Elyse also puts her exceptional analytic, management and investigative skills to work as she assists in managing the substantial SKA Apartment Rentals portfolio of apartment buildings and commercial property, their staff, as well as executing on commercial leasing.
Elyse’s approach to real estate complements and further reinforces the Steve Kewin & associates inc. methodology – pragmatic, results-oriented, and client-centric.
Commercial Real Estate Sales Representative
As a Commercial Real Estate Sales Representative, Derek Rose takes a “bricks and mortar” approach to his business model. After Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from University of Guelph, Derek was trained and worked as a Red Seal General Carpenter for close to 10 years with one of Canada’s prominent ICI sector’s General Contractors. With this, Derek applies his knowledge of the Commercial Real Estate sector starting from the ground up. Having a keen eye for quality construction, Derek applies his construction background along with his CCIM education to deliver diligent analysis to help clients find value and “diamonds in the rough”. Honesty, trust, integrity, and timely communication build the platform of his relationship philosophy. From Derek, you can expect, and he will deliver, old fashion values and ethics and modern day results.
Jack is the Corporate Controller at Steve Kewin & associates, where he oversees the accounting and finance of Steve Kewin & associates and its affiliates. He aims to exceed expectations and deliver additional value in reporting and planning while delivering results in a timely and efficient manner.
Jack has worked with Steve Kewin & associates since 2017 and during this time his analytical skills and attention to detail have been a great asset to the company. He ensures accuracy in compliance requirements to entities such as CRA, RECO, lenders, and more. He has improved efficiency in operational processes, quality controls, and safeguards so that Steve Kewin & associates can deliver the best quality results to its clients in a timely manner. He also uses his organizational and planning skills to predict and prepare for potential risks and ensure that Steve Kewin & associates can successfully navigate these risks and come out ahead.
Jack gained the skills and experience necessary to do his current work in his CPA training, his Honours Economics and Accounting bachelor’s degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and his past roles in public accounting, property management accounting, and internal audit. Throughout his career he has focused and specialized on real estate clients. Jack works to ensure that Steve Kewin & associates clients and stakeholders will be provided with the best service and quality reporting.
